i was reading in the spanish forum (http://www.extj.com/foro/showthread.php?t=15396) that an old sister died from a heart atack during the memorial, but that didn't stop the ritual.

i remember a lonley very sick sister calling for help to the kh during an emergency, and the elders told her, they were busy in an elder's meeting.

she almost died and was rushed into the hospital by 'worldy' people.

Corvallis Oregon---Jim Ohlman thought it it inappropriate for my ill husband to SIT while reading the watchtower on stage for the Sunday study.

Of course this " loving " adult only told my husband this as he was walking up the aisle. My husband stood for the reading of each paragraph and collapsed back into the chair several times WHILE reading. But I'm sure this so called " man", (Jim) thought this better than a cancer patient doing something so disgraceful as sitting while reading. Jim later spent time in jail for some money scheme, or major theft---I suppose he is back at the K.H.being an ---. My husband was so devastated by the treatment he recieved prior to diagnosis that he stayed away from the hall for a more peaceful death.

This group of GOONS also saw my husband and I at a benefit rummage sale for the local medical clinic. The sale was held in a church auditorium. This was a cause for great concern as several wimpy J.W. men thought this a good reason for a hearing due to this being a disfellowshipping offence. (I am terrible with spelling !) They called him into the inquisition room and asked me to stand out side. My husband could not walk without assistance---so I told them---NO! They asked if we in fact had purchased things or attended the sale. ???? MY question was "WHO" is asking and that person needs to apply Mathew:-- and ask us personally. They said the person who saw us did not need to talk with us as we were now involved in a disfellowshipping incident. !!!!!! Rummage sale----???DEATH SENtence from self appointed idiots !-- This subject had been adressed in a 1960s K.M. in questions from the readers. I knew due to one of my friends having written the question. I found it, coppied it and taped it on the various witch hunters doors. Nuf said.

I probably have 100 horror stories involving my own family, I just have no patience for the inhumane stupidity of the mojority of these jerks. As for the humble humans who are still members, I hope they escape prior to total despair or death.

fIRST -- I DO AGREE THAT BAD THINGS HAPPEN IN ALL RELIGIONS. And yes, J.W.s do entitle themselves with supposed superioority,morality, knowledge and anything else they are able to pontificate on. This of course does not mean their delusion is real, any more so than all the failed prophecies, or the ridiculous facade of God running a publishing company in New York. LOL. It does however mean they will be willing to HIDE crimes, problems, illnesses and anything else for the sole purpose of maintaining the lie that somehow God assists them in being quite a bit better than hard working selfless Mother Theresa. People like her are doomed and relegated for the vultures BECAUSE----No magazine sales, No witnessing for god HUMOR PLEASE----God needs us, yes,us to clear his name. Pass the turnips please.

If you were a J.W. for 40 years as I was, you also can speak with truth concerning their fluctuating belief system. You may moon them and flip them off if that is a choice. People in the "fold" are ignorant, as I was, due to being KEPT as a slave for the cult. When a child is kidnapped and kept for years, just who the hell do they attach with ? the KIDNAPPER, the fellon, the abuser, No different in high controll groups. I really love freedom of religion, J.W.s just do not value or embrace others rights with freedom FROM religion. I do not choose to argue with them, I would choose to speak with a turnip--better results as you can eat the turnip after unloading on it or arguing with it.

When a small child writes on 9/11 that 9/11 is a terrible thing that she thought would happen, and the only one that loves her is her aunt, We ask two questions.#1--Why was she expecting a terrible thing? Because children of J.W.s ARE daily abused with vailed and overt threats of destruction, dismemberment, rape, abandonment and death. Remember please that I was one of these children, It never really goes away. Being kidnapped and sold by your parents into this slavery is a crime that should net the parents the death penalty. ( I raised my children in this--always fighting against my captors until the day of freedom. ) This child who wrote of 9/11 died at the hands of her distrught father a few months later,along with three sibblings mother and the father. The family had moved out of state fleeing the trauma associated with what others may term SIMPLY leaving their church. It is definatly not simple, nor safe. #2 why was the aunt the only one she felt loved her ? Because the church forbid any friends or family to lend support or love when they left the church. The aunt disagreed and showed them love,For those that are/were J.W.s, it is called unconditional love. Even in the aftermath of such a horrible situation she showed great strength in exposing the church as the MAJOR cause in the murder--suicide. The J.W. family did not attend funeral services, But literally hundreds of non-J.W.s did. WHERE WERE WE ??? Were we saying that bad things happen in all religions? IF YOU had/ have any REAL knowledge of this supposed religion, Then you are aware of the terrible toll it takes on families. Mental illness is swept under the carpet, or in my first hand case--I sat in a room with elders who asked my second husband for $60 an hour, that they were as good as any doctor,prpbably better. They did not however medicate him, neither did they prescribe anything more than"binle study". He never fully recovered from the subsequent breakdown and confinement for mental illness. I have a few choice names for them but l just refer to them as Dick W."aka the Dick" and Steve C. "The penguin" or" the other Dick" is my prefference. They also feel clild mollesting and attempted child rape should be referred to as "Boys being Boys" !! Now remember if you will on national t.v. this J.R. Brown and a lady standing in front of J.W. headquarters saying ,Twenty years ago we did not know child mollesting really affected children. THat was in refferences to the hiding tens of thousands of abuse cases that should have been handled by the authorities.

In closing----The underbelly of the Watchtower society is inhabited by magots, the flies are swarming inside of it, If you do not see that, then you have averted your eyes and chose not to look at the pain .

her son, jesse, is in serious condition.. my son is in surgery and may lose his hand and arm.. jesse got an infection in a cut on his finger.

ex wants to be free to remarry - ugh

ok, i'm sure i am not the first one to be in this predicament but it sure is a headache, my jw ex called a few days ago, apparently she has met someone (they're not dating of course!

) and she wants to me to hand over the golden ticket.

she wants confirmation either in writing or verbally to a third party, that she is "scripturally free" to remarry.. i have managed for years now to avoid any judicial action and my jw family members still associate with me, but that all could come to a screeching halt if i give her what she wants.. the only bright side is she totally robbed me on the divorce; if she gets married i am at least off the hook for "spousal maintenance", that would mean potentially thousands of dollars in my pocket.... .

It all comes down to what positions of oversight family members hold. Who trumps who---Remember you are dealing with a COMPANY started by a snake oil salesman, succeeded by a drunk living in a mansion paid for by slave labor sales persons. This publishing company demands you both read and study its endless repetitive drivel,and as if that were not torture enough---they demand you sell it. And get real, YOU pay for it -right ? So connecting the dots, or following the flying monkeies down the yellow brick road THEY CREATE A RELIGION of this mind bogeling b.s.

Now for your problem---Keep your family-----Never second guess what the employees of the company will do. Its a promotion or an axe to grind, you never know what filth and bribes are passed behind the curtain. Nothing in writing as this is NOT a judicial commitee it is and always will be a kangaroo court. Smile and tell her she should continue with that wonderful man, you want her to be happy. Believe me, she will be Happy soon enough. Do not buy into the W.T. mumbo jumbo. WE all know these "rules" have nothing to do with real scripture or God.

A offense against all involved?

i have heard it on this forum that victims are sometimes considered an offender.

i did believe it, just never wanted to hear my father say or agree with it.

now i'm angry.i e-mailed him the trial results from california last week and this is his reply.

The "Elders" response was basic j.w. rhetoric. So much hot air sounding like an explanation as it whistled by. He should have said, " In our club we protect the club at all costs, even sacrificing young children who ask for mercy." "How dare they complain in the first place! Our organization is God's Club,and as such we do not like bad p.r." AS IF GOD cannot keep his reputation CLEAN, these RATS scurry about shutting down escape routs for abused children. They say it is their duty to protect Jehovah's name, how ludicrous!! These mice think it is their duty to protect the almighty s "name"? They are covering their lazy butts. SO this elder seemed to throw in a lot of "what ifs", well nit wit why not put it in the hands of TRAINED authorities?? OH thats right, I forgot, reading tons of mandated literature makes you superior in thought and judgment. This verbose creep would defiantly not be allowed near my child. Anyone who mealy mouths about protecting children should be assigned stamp licking duty. Am so tired of these wimpy J.W. so called men.

What a question! We Endured years of the J.W.s nonstop bad mouthing other faiths.

All we ever heard was how the catholics covered up pedophilia and moved the abusers from church to church to protect the abuser AND the church. However I have NEVER seen the J.W.congregations protect or seek help for the abused, raped, sodomized and beaten ,especially if they were defenseless children. Now we have absolute proof that the J.W. leadership, just like the ones they write about are guilty to this very day of gross misconduct. It is COMMON for the elders,traveling overseers and societies attorneys to threaten and silence those who cry out. To answer the questions, YES---My five "children " were all abused sexually by different men in diferent states in seperate congregations. The reaction to my questions or complaints were always the same. First it is "was it the childs fault?" "this is rare in J.W.s" [blatent lie] "were there witnesses?" If the abuser did not invite reputable adults in to witness the abuse then the VICTIM will be threatened into silence. If you follow some of the cases of BRAVE victims who spoke out as adults, you will find that the responsible elders deny they knew anything. One case[ above referenced] the society had a list of 53 children[VICTIMS]in the perps hand writing and still would not admit they knew. Then of course another defense is "they were not realy a J.W.

My PLEA is no matter how long ago you even thought there was a serious problem of abuse, PLEASE go or call the police or authorities in that area and report everything you know. AN 80 year old J.W. in Oakridge traveled to an Albany Oregon congregation to abuse two young girls. If this beast started at age 20, then he had SIXTY years to destroy children while this so called group of GODS CHOSEN protected him. I cannot count the abusers because I know of dozens. A J.W. mother who knew of her sons attacks on children sent him to Alaska where he attacked a 6 year old. Without previous convictions the courts gave him a light sentence. He at that time was found to have victimized 50 plus children. DO NOT leave it up to these untrained window washing zealots to protect,report, let alone seek help for victims. Case in point Marvin "Dave" Barger and wife who adopted girls and then used them , one commited suicide.[common with J.W. children] Dave resides in the Turlock Calif. area,once lived in Oroville Cal. and the bay area. Active J.W. Check him out on the CA megans law website . Please speak with educated proffessionals!!
